About STRIKE

STRIKE HOLDINGS LLC, headquartered in New York City, creates some of the world's most imaginative, exciting and memorable entertainment venues. Leveraging the universal appeal of bowling and infusing a sense of sophistication, whimsy, high style and fun, Strike Holdings' properties are as successful as they are unique.

In the spring of 1994, Strike Holdings CEO Tom Shannon was invited to a party at Bowlmor Lanes, an old bowling alley in New York's Greenwich Village. Shannon immediately recognized the space's potential and, three years later, acquired Bowlmor and set out to enhance it with extensive renovations, a service-oriented staff and upscale food and beverage options. Bowlmor quickly captured the attention of New York's high-end clientele and growing population of hip and affluent professionals. It became the highest-grossing bowling alley in the world, singlehandedly changing the image and economics of the mature bowling industry.

Strike Holdings followed up Bowlmor's historic success by converting a tennis center on Bowlmor's roof, housed in a 60-foot-high inflatable bubble, into a high-end multimedia lounge called Pressure. The company then set its sights nationwide, opening Strike-branded properties in suburban Washington, D.C., in 2001, New York's Long Island in 2002, and Miami in 2004. Strike Holdings will be adding California properties to its roster in 2006.

"Strike Holdings aims to develop and operate a nationwide system of entertainment venues that leverage the universal appeal of bowling, while offering guests a sophisticated entertainment experience in a modern, imaginative venue with high-quality food and service. We want everyone's first visit to a Strike property to be energizing, gratifying and memorable - so their first visit will be first of many."
